Christ Jesus died upon the cross
To take the curse of man
Through so much pain he suffered loss
To realise God’s plan
We too should bear the cross God gives
Relinquish hearts of stone
When then we stand with Christ who lives
He’ll gladly call His own
God’s discipline is done in love
He chastens, for He cares
In readiness for when above
We’ll join His Son as heirs
With joyful heart, God’s chide receive
Let peace take every frown
Let no one come that they deceive
And steal away life’s crown
We must be strong, of goodly cheer
Till discipline is done
God’s healing balm is always near
Through Jesus Christ His Son
All discipline is to our good
To change, as will The Lord
To walk in Him the way we should
And thus escape the sword
God’s discipline should none refuse
Through grace we’re now His child
How easily else we all could lose
And end up running wild
We need to be as God has planned
No matter cost or pain
What can’t be shaken from His hand –Heb.12: 27
May yet in Christ remain?
