Divine Reunion Poem by Jean Mallette

Divine Reunion

Rating: 4.8

The appointed time my God shall keep
To wake our loved ones from their sleep.
A joyous choir He then shall raise
Up from the Earth to sing Him praise.
Oh, how thankful shall we be
When all Creation is set free-
When even mortal flesh from Earth
Shall be transformed in second birth.
Even now His promises are seen
In ancient trees anewed with green,
When Spring ascends up from the ground
And Life in every shape is found.
It tells again my God is true;
Our loved ones, too, He shall renew.

The bud is promise of the flower-
The evidence of God's power.
Oh, what glories shall unfold
When Christ at last we shall behold!

'If an abled-bodied man dies, can he live again? All the days of my compulsory service, I shall wait, Until my relief comes' (Job 14: 14) There is definitely something more for us waiting in the very near future and this very touching piece glimpses at it. Keep writing my dear friend, write until the words take on a life of their own... Then write some more. Be Well N8

I gave this one another 9. Same reason as the last. I do want to recommend two of my poems to you. WAR CRIMES, that relates to the previous poem. And CIRCLE OF ANGELS, that relates to this one. Happy reading! . GW62
