Do I Ask Too Much Of The Sun? Poem by Kaleb Falin

Do I Ask Too Much Of The Sun?

Do I ask too much of the sunrise?
I need the breaking light,
To hit just right,
I need her truth to cleanse the skies,

Her filling ways soothe me,
I want colors that have never come together before,
To electrify my creature to the core,
I need her honesty to prove me,

Can the sunset feel the pressure of my gawking eyes?
Is she glad to duck behind the refuge of the horizon?
Does she shudder in nake blue that the skies in?
Does she hesitate in the morning before she dives in?
Is she the caged bird that never learns to fly?

Oh the red and orange was ablaze!
The night is just enough to make me miss her,
Each dusk I long again to kiss her,
Always anxious to see her again...always!

Are the flowers really just a blushing?
Because of how I romanticized them,
Or are they trembling in a gentle wind,
Am I subject to the power of flower's gushing?

Knowing I may pick the most beautiful one,
And grab them from their home place,
Just to take them someplace,
Is my love of beauty a greedy vice undone?

I cling to the sound of rain,
Something releases from me,
Releasing me, Fleecing thee,
I hope I didn't cause you too much pain,

Each time I hear her roar,
I shudder at the realization,
This may be the last sensation,
I may know of her again no more,

That this might be the last time,
That I see her,
I can't be her,
Everything is fleeting to no more,
