Do It For Me Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Do It For Me

You no longer do it for me
You've been the one who had me weak in the knees
Don't you know you've done it like no other can?
You pale in comparison to who you were back then
I never want to talk to you, I Ain't never there
You have questions or two but I just don't care
All I'm needing you to do is go elsewhere
Cause time has stolen all of the joy
the feel of love is to employ

You no longer do it for me
baby, we have hit a low frequency
and if it keeps up, I'll let you go
When come the time you will know
you pale in comparison to
who you were, it's not okay
I never want to talk to you on any giving day
All I'm needing you to do is not fade away
Cause time has stolen all of the joy
the feel of love is to employ

You said, "I take you for granted and
with romances there are no second chances"
You said, "you don't meet the qualifications
of love per the list
but there's something about you, I can't resist"
You aren't aware of the times
and if you want to remain mines
you got to do what will make things fine
Cause time has stolen all of the joy
the feel of love is to employ
