Do Not Hug Me Tight

Rating: 5.0

Do not hug me tight lest I suffocate and leave you,
Gaze at me, at a distance, no chains, unbound.
Freely circling like seeds with feathers freed from the tree.
Mature, sure, confident, knowing well enough.
That when love beckons, not to hug it tight,
Lest love could not breathe and die.

Freely circling like seeds with feathers freed from the tree. Mature, sure, confident, knowing well enough. That when love beckons, not to hug it tight, Lest it could not breathe and die. Beautiful concept in a nice poem. Thanks poet for the sharing. 10 for it.
