Does He? ? Poem by Shannon Hart

Does He? ?

Ask yourself,
"Does he love me?
And if so, "Why does he love me? "
Am I not good enough for you to pamper,
Every once in a while at best?
You can't keep a strong woman down,
And believe she is not strong enough to get back up.
You can't think that she won't find true love.
Even if she loves him with ebery breath in her body,
He still may wonder privately.
If he can't give you a real reason why he loves you,
Then he's not the one for you.
If he can't call you his queen and treat you like one too,
He may not actually love you.
He may just be infatuated with you.
You may have the best sex he's ever had.
Or you may just be the right woman,
He just doesn't know how not to treat you so bad.
Either way it goes, it's not real love.
It's control.
So yes it is necessary to ask "Does he and why? ",
The love you thought you were building was just eating at your soul.
