Does It Hurt
Does it hurt to know
that aren't there
to dry my tears
when my heart breaks.
Does it hurt to know
that you won't be there
to help my dress for my senior prom
or help to fix my hair.
Does it hurt to know
that you won't be there
to see me walk across the field
and recieve my diploma on graduation day.
Does it hurt to know
that you won't be there
to see me off to college
and see me fly away.
Does it hurt to know
that you will never
hear me say
I love you mom.
Does it hurt to know
that you won't be there
to see me walk down the aisle
and marry the man of my dreams.
Well it hurts me
to know that
you won't be there
for any of those things.
It hurts me to know
that you won't be there
to say i love you
and i'm proud of you.
It hurts me to know
that you won't be there
for those big moments
that will change my life.
It hurts me the most
to know that
you will never be there
and that i no longer have a mother.
