Dogs On Men Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Dogs On Men

Dogs on men

Once every dog in park
Free of leash and rope
Got close and smelled
The others, sniffed-nosed
Under tail, by approach
Some just ran; or played
Some pleased the master.

Dogs had a great show
One could say: "a sitcom! "

When showman left the jokes and spoke:
Politics took floor…
"Want to use the Negro and Nigger
Want to call First-Nations Indians…"

Stepped in one lover of master
"Law bans them; …"
Smiling but firmly said joker:
"The fact is they used them
Changing facts any way
Means to lie and betray…"
Back and forth they conversed:
"Yes of course; but in past
It was bad and mistake; men confess…"

"Mankind is full of shit…"
Said crowd, audience:
"Their talk is also shit
They like shit and want more…"
Chorus-like:
"That is why they collect yours and mine! "

An old dog in corner:
"I know them very well
Have spent all my life to teach them
They are dumb as is rock
I used my language and signals
They do not understand…look at them…"
