Don’t Be Angry Poem by David Harris

Don’t Be Angry

Rating: 5.0

Don’t be angry at me
if I say something wrong.
Don’t be angry at me,
everyone makes mistakes
some of them we can never repair.

Don’t be angry at me
if I say something wrong.
Don’t be angry at me
when I say we can’t go on
hurting each other the way that we do.

We thought our love
would last forever and ever.
That we would be together
all those days and into the sunset,
we would walk together.

However, there comes a time
when we have to realise
that staying together
is hurting our lives
and others as well.

Don’t be angry at me
if I say something wrong.
Don’t be angry at me
for soon I have to go
and that’s where I belong - gone.
