Don't Die Poem by Craig Mize

Don't Die

Rating: 5.0

It happened so fast
But it seemed like it was in slow motion.
I seen the gun, the trigger being pulled,
The bullet rushing out the barrel
Speeding directly into your chest.

I see the fear enter your eyes
As your legs gets weaker and weaker;
Your body hits the floor.
I see you struggling to speak,
Struggling to breathe, struggling to survive.

I run to you, heart racing,
Praying that my eyes is deceiving me.
Hoping that this is not really reality.
I look into your eyes,
A blank stare mirrors back at me.

Tears flood my eyes,
I'm doing my best to save your life,
To keep your soul from leaving your body
Please don't die, please don't die
Please don't die.
