Don’t you dare, love
Don’t you dare
Come to me at this late hour
Don’t you dare, love
Please, not now
Not at this ungrateful hour
Not after dreams have forsaken me
Not after hope has betrayed me
Not after fate has
stared at me with scorn
Not after I’ve lost,
not after I’ve mourned
Don’t be cruel, love
Don’t be crude
There is nothing more
I want from you
Not after I’ve wrapped my heart
and made my bed
Not after I’ve vowed to give
my soul some rest
Don’t you dare, love
Don’t you dare
Not at this forgotten hour
Don’t you see
Oh, can’t you see
The walls are bare
Surrounding me
Don’t you dare love
No! not now
Not at this ungodly hour!

This sounds so like an angry denial of a yearning so very very strong...found this so very intriguing and the passion within it speaks volumes....10+
but it sneaks in like a thief in the dead of the night...: -)
why didn't she want to see him? it's like in this book i'm reading. the woman had panic attacks and ended up pushing her lover away. misery is supposed to love company but i guess this time doesn't count.
yeh ill say to like Allie this is like the lyrics of a sad song dont u darrrrrrrrrrrrreeeee whatever the flow was good
I would color this poem red. Passion, and anger crackle like flames through every stanza. Very dramatic.10/10 As always, Sandra
'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned'. An impassioned rant against an intensely personal betrayal. This would work as the lyrics of a blues song. 'Not after I’ve wrapped my heart and made my bed' is particularly evocative. Powerful no holes bared poetry. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
When we least expect it and stop looking, it finds us on its own. So daring and ungrateful :) I loved this poem and will take it with me, thank you for sharing.
