Certainly, there was sunrise in your eyes.
So suddenly my shadowed soul
Was filled with all awakening light.
I could not explain that extraordinary feeling
That engulfed me, immersed me.
You knew it. Didn't you?
Else why did you smile then?
But you were clever
You said nothing.
You knew, I was dying to tell you
What I felt, how I felt.
Yes, I was aching and twisting in pain
To tell you how I felt.
Yet, I could not.
I feared I might offend you.
But in the end,
I dared to seek your permission
To tell you how I felt.
You were kind.
You were kind to listen to me.
My heart told you
What it was dying for.
Now my heart is impatient
To hear back from you.
What?
Don't you know what?
