Donny Poem by Francis Duggan

Donny

He likes to drink top shelf liquor gin, whisky, brandy, vodka and rum
And he likes to talk himself up whilst chewing on his gum
Self confident Donny one of the cocky young blokes of the town
Daydreams of great material wealth and renown
He fancies himself as quite a ladies man
But his latest partner the lovely young Ann
After only a few weeks of him grew quite tired
Though she is the one by him loved and desired
He feels disappointed that she has jilted him
For to be with the young man she loves and desires Tim
Though her leaving him a dent to Donny's pride
His feelings from others he is good to hide
He fancies himself as a young stud of the town
As on the sidewalks he does strut up and down.
