Down & Beat Poem by Kev Elmer

With time that passes me by,
a tear drops from my eye.
I thought things got easier with age,
so why is it I only feel rage?
Cunfusion caused by life,
nothing left in mine but strife.
Knowing I'm down and beat,
more tears fall to my feet.
No energy left to fight,
I've tried with all my might.
I know just when I've lost,
and that my life is the cost.
I must now embrace on whats to come,
because my life cant be undone.
