Dreamers Like Me Poem by Alexander Foald

Dreamers Like Me

Another night comes around
Such a long time to endure the loneliness
The stars are scattered all over the sky
Above the dreams that fly through the clouds

Dreams of my love
Still always with the same taste
Somehow tonight it tastes bitter
And my heart never stops beating

I want to know why the sky is so high
For some dreamer like me to make believe
Would it be different if I never know how to dream
And hang onto the reality I’ve been living in

Because I want to know why it’s so much hurt
To love someone I can’t make mine
Would it be different if I never know how to love
And face the fact that she don’t belong to me

But life is endless if we never turn the steer
I will never know how to be gratefully in love
If I never taste the bitterness of broken heart
Something right only comes from what is wrong

And that’s why there’s always morning to come
I only have to wait another chance to try my best
No matter how hard I fall, it’d never feel anything less
Until the day I find my way back to love someone better
