Dreaming A Flower Poem by Arun Maji

Dreaming A Flower

Rating: 5.0

Look, night is silent
moon is sleeping, town is tired.
But I am awake. Very awake.
I think about you.
I sing song, out of your whisper
I make garland, out of your laughter
I make dream, out of your fragrant hair.

Is that you smiling?
You are so serene
you are so divine
you are so pleasing.
You bring me so much joy.

Where are you?
You were here, I saw you here.
Please, don't play. Don't go far.
I can't bear.
Any separation from you- I can't bear.
Whisper in my ear-
you are here, right here.

Did I tell you that dream
when I saw, you leaving me?
Ask me- how I felt?
Sun died, river cried
trees ached in pain.
I was numb, tears rolled down my cheek
and my heart stopped beating.

I didn't know what to say!
I kept looking-
until your shilhoutte disappeared in horizon.
And then, I fainted.

And when I woke up
I was looking at stars/ while lying beside you.
I was warm, I was happy.

You asked me- "why stars shine? "
I said- "they are made of shine.
Like you, a fragrant flower
made of eternal fragrance.

You rolled over
and planted a kiss while looking at my eyes.
In divine pleasure, I closed my eyes.

And when I opened them
I didn't find you with me.
Where are you? Where?
I am so alone, I am so empty,
I am so cold, I am so agonised!
O my love,
where are you? Where?
