Dreaming Of Snow Poem by Doris McGohon

Dreaming Of Snow

Sitting here in my cocoon
of warmth and coziness,
dreaming how it will
be when the snow
finally makes its debut.
Maybe it will happen
tonight.
The trees sway to the
cold blast of arctic wind
standing naked, unadorned..
Surely they will be dressed
in soft ermine
tonight.
I foresee the ground covered
with the silent fallen snow,
when I awaken in the
morning....
pure beauty to behold!
The sun is out in all
its brilliance casting
it’s light upon the
sparkling diamond ground.
I’ll make some hot chocolate,
something to warm me,
as I pull up a chair
by the window and revel in this
enchanted make believe
day.
