Dreams Poem by Sheri Green

Dreams

Dreams can be such funny things
Nothing is ever quite what it seems

For where else but in our dreams
Do gold fish swim in mercury streams

And the dandy lions run in the sun
When the tiger lilies chase them for fun

And ice vampires can give you a fright
When they nip your toes with their frosty bite

And if you're feeling a little bit blue
You can try red or green or some other hue

But always watch out for those fierce dogwoods
Their bark hurts worse than their bite ever could

And you can wear your water moccasins down the psycho path
Were all a little crazy here, need you dare ask

So sit back and relax to the sound of heart strings
Because dreams can be such funny little things
