Dreams of last night

Too tired
-hit the sack early for
-One of my longest nights
-had dream
-of father
-in a part
-and a child
-in other
-which of them?
-guess daughter

Fun it was
-while with them
-where are they?
-I miss them
-One never to be seen
-physically
-unless books are true
-another?
-big 'Maybe! '

Asked my dad
-as always
-my questions
-forever he has been
-my wise man

To daughter
-after games and play
-I spoke
-of the things that I have
-for them to…

Their mother on the phone…
-busy with foodstuff
-which has been
-and remains
-the tall wall between us
-and the cause of divide
