Dreamscape Poem by Matthew Holloway

Dreamscape

Rating: 4.5

There I lay in your arms
As lovers often do
Eyes locked to eyes
Tender kisses shared
Smiles turn to giggles
Regaining some youthful joy
A brush of the hair
The warmth of your body
Allowed a heartbeat to be felt
A picture perfect postcard
Of the romantic ideal
A pity it was a dream
When it felt so real

The poem did not end the way I though it might; very creative writing.

thank you, sometimes a dream overtakes reality in a way that is hard to believe, love often features in such dreams
