Drift Poem by G J Salgado

Drift

Rating: 5.0

Dressed up in your best beautiful
Borrowed people living on stolen time
Sleep walking through life down the hall
Dreams upon a shelf at the back of the line
An anthem for those who stand strong
Singing on the coast sailing across the world
Giving ourselves the right to bear arms
Wondering why and what it's all meant for
Born different for different reasons
I can't find the earth unless it's through your eyes
People and values change with the world's seasons
Let's start over again and give it another try
Everyone is always looking for something to prove
You don't discriminate against me and I won't be prejudice towards you
Can't stay focused if all these walls can't move
Others just live trying to figure out what to do
Beauty fades into the makeup that only gets smudged
We all have mountains that get so heavy that they cannot budge
We are all humans for just a short while so try harder not to judge

Beauty fades in make up and in borrowed cosmetic. But dressed up in beautiful attitudes never fades beauty. Wise sharing...10
