Drive Poem by Rusty Ed Gibson

Drive

From the Mountains in North Carolina
To the Hills in East Tennessee
There's a peaceful vibe that calls me
A Calm that sets me free

As I drive across the country
and let the cares fall in the sea
I remember a man that loves me
and is waiting for me patiently

as the air clears my mind
and the dew kisses my morning
I can only think of him
and the shoes Im adorning

He thinks I am so beautiful
cause he tells me all the time
He thinks that I am the coolest
and sweet like strawberry wine

Im living like I dont care
throwing caution to the wind
letting it all go
cause I have faith in him

I am in no big hurry
to get where I am not going
One day I will be in his arms
and He will love me only
