Drunk Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

Drunk

Rating: 5.0

Forgive him, he's drunk.
Yesterday's pain faded
to nothingness.
With mind lighted and
love bloomed he's there
smiling at you with
genuine feelings.
He takes shaky steps
stops, looks at you
and laughs heartily
at himself.
Party was long over
friends left.
Night rolled over
dissolving the last star.
It's daybreak and he yells
'halo' to the Red east.
Somewhere in his mind
night is not yet over.
Still jiggered by
yesterday's music
shakily he tried
walking to nowhere.

Night rolled over dissolving the last star. It's daybreak and he yells 'halo' to the Red east. Somewhere in his mind night is not yet over. Still jiggered by yesterday's music shakily he tried walking to nowhere. You have a great heart compassionate for the helpless creatures like drunken people. You possess a sensitive eye too. Thanks poet for sharing it.10++ for it.

life is too harsh to the drunk, while they don't understand the hurt...Thank you for sharing Prabha..
