It was the start of something new
The very start of a new home
The dunny budgie will be pleased
Somewhere new for him to roam
He will come for miles around
For a stake in this new fare
He will fight you tooth and nail
To ensure he gets his share
The pit it has been dug
And the walls will soon be there
And then they’ll put the roof on
Then the door and then the chair
And once it has been used
And I’ll tell you it won’t take long
For the dunny budgie to arrive
To put you off your song
