Dust To Dust Poem by sharon wildey

Dust To Dust

Rating: 4.3

From dust to dust
A sandstorm of lives
Meld into tiny pebbles
Stinging
From history
Visible for a couple of years
A few inches off the ground
In the midst of the storm
And then swept into the memory of humanity
Names
Places
Achievements
And sins
Erasures
Of the living
And Aged
Standing against
Anonymity
Slipping into the storm
One name at a time
My name is
Sharon Ann Wildey
I am living
And aged
I am destined
Into the sandstorm
Dust to dust
