Easter Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Easter

Easter

'As kids we, ate bunnies…'
-said anchor…
-she went on and all laughed
-'…ears first! '

This is what Easter is, to many
-chocolates of one kind
-in eggs' form or bunny.

But Easter is day of
-Heavenly union
-by all the Christian
-Son rises from dead
-to go, join the Father.

Radios and TVs of the faith
-hold their horns and blow:
-'Though grave has been found
-no body rested down…
-this gives us reason to righteousness:
-‘He gave life for our sins''

Oh Easter
-day of faith
-you too are similar
-to many other days
-some hate you
-as do Jews…
-some love you for joy, faith
-some do not know or care
-like Buddhists and Muslims
-and many other faiths…
-or faithless…
