Ebony Poem by Emily Slm

Ebony

Lurking in a brittle brown forest
My friend abandoned me
I feel eyes watching.
Cold, black,
Ebony

Long claws
crunch dead leaves
Emerging is flared nostrils
Cold, Black,
Ebony

Eyes
Nose
Teeth
me
Cold, black,
Ebony

Dark sand
Glistening dots
amidst the night
hope comes
it fades
Like drinking eternity
It flows through
Cold
BLACK
ebony
