Eclipse Poem by Bryan Riley

Eclipse



Once I had
the healing warmth
of the moon
but it was blocked
out by the
shadow of the
sun

Tried once for a
piece of pride
but lost it when
the rabbit died

Once upon a time
I wanted to find
my peace of mind,
but never got
around to it

Had a lifeline
to hold onto,
but mouse
chewed
through it.
