Elusive Obsession Poem by Anitah Muwanguzi

Elusive Obsession

Endless days of fiery sun

bottomless voids of wanting

crowd soulless nights of chills

hopeless eyes shadow their own futile hopes

all the while keeping their olive branches partially spread

the Phoenix sheds her skin once more

and your tears they soil the empty sheets
