Embryo Poem by Thomas Becker

Embryo

I'm here to tell a you a tail,
one with a morel or its a fail.
Long and hard I think what to say
but not really knowing in which way.
Should it be long or short and fast
or should I make it a laughing blast?
Grown ups would only want the truth
but with things like dragons for the youth.
It hard to decide what to add with in,
maybe betrayal, disease or original sin.
I want it to come from the heart
and never come out like abstract art.
I never know how long it will take
so have on the ready coffee and cake.
When finally comes the time to start,
then my thoughts will all fall apart.
I can't fell to bad about this little fact,
knowing that the words will react.
From my pen to paper they will flow.
Then words will grow just like an embryo.
