Emily Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Emily

Emily

She drives but does not for tonight
has hope mixed with her thoughts
well-dressed, full make-up
head to bar and club to guy
someone who will take her in his arms
and their night prolongs.

She enters the club after long
chitchat, talks come along
listens, shares some of talks
nothing good, so gets out
goes for walk…

Did not find any bed, any arm
she is far of the hugs
sad, broke and failing
says: "goodbye."
to the search and to night.

Nothing went in her way;
"I want home…" she whispers.
she is sad and depressed
both time and money gone
tummy hurts without fun
feels tipsy; and drunk…

Deep and down in her mind
hope remains blur, dark
after fails to find love.
