Emotions Poem by Branden Gordon

My emotions are changing like Texas weather, I go through so much pain for a glimpse of pleasure.
When will this end? I may never know.
I've tried so hard to just let it go.
When you were around, everything seemed substantial
Now that I think about it, maybe it was all accidental.
They say there's no such thing as a coincidence
But from then and now there's so much evidence.
I believe you came into my life
To help me outlive my slow paced strife.
But now that you're gone, and I'm still here
The way that I should live is, but never seemed so clear.
