Emotions Poem by William Williams

Emotions

My emotions are gone,
I can no longer care,
My screams no longer
Fill the air.

My heart is numb
And is slow to love,
And where is the guidance
From the God up above?

Why waste my breathe,
Or pull at my hair,
When there is no one
Left that cares?

To carry on,
It brings great pain,
But giving up,
Brings greater shame.

I'm at the crossroads
Of life and death.
Why must I wait
For my last breathe?

Love is made up,
But pain is real,
Is it all that
I know how to feel?
