Empty Altar Poem by Daniel Brown

Empty Altar

Made a promise to myself i couldn't keep,
A doubtful disposition,
And a thought left on repeat...
I turned away with time again to tell
The doublesided coin tossed in a drained and empty wishing well.

'Save me from myself...
Relieve me from this curse...
Anything to stop the noise...
Cranium that formed a hearse...'
