Empyrean Waltz Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Empyrean Waltz

Extend those supple arms
Compress your hands
Into a lasting embrace
Tho like an incense stick
Burning out of time
Through time our love does race.

Part slenderly the lips
With peeping tongue
To partake love's sweet taste
For as we kindle love
Restless through the moments
These moments we won't waste.

Reveal our yearning souls
Quivering in the sun
As shadows keep the pace
Until the end draws near
Draping curtains of dusk
This dusk...our last embrace.
