Encounter Poem by Craig Steiger

Encounter

Coasting down Pickett Peak Grade

Something flashed across the windshield
Blew in the open window
To crawl on my bare leg.

It flexed its wings,
An iridescent blue moth!

Carefully I coaxed it
Onto my open palm

-narrowly averting disaster
on the curves-

And whisked it back
Into the onrushing air

:) Been there... trying to coax some flying menace back into the rush of air... great job!
