Enemies Poem by Echo Moon

Enemies

Fine, to say that word while nothing's right
To say I'm fine, even though I'm dying inside.
Then you brush it off as if it were NOTHING!
To feel pure fury curling through your bones
To say I'm fine.

DO YOU NOT SEE THE PAIN I'M GOING THROUGH?
Do you NOT see the pain you have caused me?

To claim one as yours,
When you know your friend loves him.
When you take something precious like love from your friend.
When you KNOW your friend struggles with love.
Well, you are NO friend.
You are an enemy.
You work against your friend on purpose

You say that person isn't real
Wound 1
You say that person's name wrong to get your friend mad
Wound 2
You show a picture of them to your friend's enemy
Wound 3
Then they move on and begin to like another,
Hoping to begin again and have a good chance this time.
Then you claim that person as your own.
And strike a little too close to home.
Killing blow.
All the while they were saying
I'm Fine.
