Enigma Poem by Stephen De Marino

Enigma

Rating: 3.3

Mystery
That is his bonus
He is the unknown
The uncertainty
That causes curiosity
And Desire
The natural order
Is upset
Skewed by his arrival
Probes are sent
To seek his alignment
But he chooses
To remain mysterious
Though the temptation
Is there waiting
But mystery is the card
That can only be played
Once
Never to return to the deck
So he holds it close
Adopting his aura
Drawing in the curious
Like moths to candle
Waiting until the proper time
To draw back the veil
