These are a few of the epigraphs that I have written for my poems on my www.scaredsafe.org web site...
Respect Fear; It's a very big part of what keeps you safe Fear Danger; Even when it comes behind a smiling face (for “An Impossible Task”)
Command respect, control lust, Those who can't might die trying. Live your life, do what you must, Some things are worse than dying. (for “Young Girls”.)
Hoodlums, hooligans, Thugs and knavery... To seek them out is Misplaced bravery (for “Living in Fear”.)
They all know, those who into The human psyche delve, There's no one who can fool you Like you will fool yourselves. (for “The Talent Agent”.)
It's as instinctive as it can be That with animals, fight or flight comes naturally, But human beings like you and me, Will try to deal with danger intellectually. Of course, a failing of humanity Is the time we fall apart emotionally. (for “Storm’s End”.)
An encounter with Death... It doesn't have to be raw and bloody Sometimes rags and bones Are what it is when you find a body. (for “The Skeleton”.)
