Epitaph (1994) Poem by Patrick Wescott

Epitaph (1994)

Rating: 5.0

Death at twenty-three isn't a bad thing.
A hair cut and change of clothes,
could be the nails in my coffin.
Cover the tattoos,
and use my earrings as rosary beads.
Just leave the past behind,
to act as my tombstone.
