Patience and Fortitude roared out into velvet night as books went up in flames
And the carnage of pages flew to the heavens on a column of smoke that poisoned the air
The lion hearted went to save the words
But their courage was overwhelmed and they were fought back by those with hearts of stone
The fuse sparked an inferno that devoured our knowlege
Until dragons and worry were all that were left of those days
And we saw the red hot glint as they watched through the rain
They watched as we cried and summer was dead
Pretenders they are born of fire themselves
Born to pull the trigger
Born to light a match
Born to see our crimson blood
Born to take our hope
But we will rise again
We will write more words to replace those we lost
We will rewrite history
They cannot harm us for we are phantoms
They cannot find us
They cannot take us
For we are hope
Esperanza
