That is forever so appealing.
A single line perchance a verse,
For its time is so revealing.

With dutiful attention to beauty,
Always written with great flair.
So much of it respectfully religious,
About God and His Lord's Prayer.

Poems presented to small children,
So lovingly written and quite unique.
Every word to enthral one and all,
Magical poetry filled with mystique.

Countless poems about Queen Victoria,
Her Empire of monarchy and homeland.
So beautifully scribed on gold parchment,
As politely requested by Royal Command.

Thank the heavens for Victorian poetry,
With its many gifted poets and poetesses.
For their noble timeless poetry even today,
Reaches out and so romantically caresses.
