Eternal Youth Poem by Daya Nandan

Eternal Youth

I want an endless life, i want to live forever,
Beyond the age of stars, through every endeavor,
I want to experience every joy there is to life,
I want to learn ways to fight with every knife,

It is not that i fear death, that is not the case,
Neither is it that i don't believe in heaven, that holy place,
It is just that i have realized that there is so much to do,
So many things that i never really knew,

Everywhere, something incredible is waiting to be known
So many wonders just waiting to be shown,
Many men have seeked these in their lives,
only to have death stab them with its shapeless knife,

The world is evolving right in front of our eyes,
So many new ways to reach past the stratosphere of the skies,
So many secrets of the earth just waiting to be unlocked,
So many new fighting techniques, new ways for attacks to be blocked,

but of course with an endless life, i wish to never age,
I wouldn't want to lose my senses, i never wish to reach that stage,
an endless life without youth would not be a life to live for
Each day taking weakening the aging body ever more

I don't want to leave this earth,
I know how much my life is worth,
I don't want to grow old,
Because eternal youth is truly gold.
