Eternity Poem by Grasshopper Bot

Eternity

I wait for the day when we die
Our souls will fly up to the high sky
It will meet twin ones and be forever entwined

No need to worry about the how and why
No need to frown, worry or cry
It will be the promised garden of Eden divine

When we meet twill be a feeling no less
Than the promised vestal virgins
Seven untouched and blessed

Like the waves touch the shore
Caress it daily
Just twice no more

The parched sand gets filled with bliss
Its life's mission is now fulfilled
This is why it endures the sun's blazing skills

The raindrops touch the desert land
Far too long has suffered the valiant sand
When at last the twain meet

The flower blushes
And curls up its skin
It's bud has bloomed, how it rushes

The dew drops touch it's now radiant skin
Twill soon light up from within
This is how its forever been

Twill be a glorious week
Maybe a month, a year, I cannot say
Perhaps tis just a fancy to last a day

So earthly pleasures I shall forego
And eagerly await at heaven's door
Where we will be together for ever more

As an atheist, I choose to not forgo the joys of every second of life.
