'Evening's Charms' Poem by joseph nez

'Evening's Charms'

It was what many begin to prepare
after the season's end.
Reform away many thoughts
from the evening's charms within.

In between the glances,
evoking nostalgic sentiment.
Pushing apart at heart...
Winter's changing appointment.
Lifting the eyelid of understanding,
dimly now, but enough to remember...

How secretive by my side
did I make my thoughts come alive.
I could picture the portrait's looks
beautiful life red lips of colors old and new
painted in love...
in still life, a look with a view.
Dancing at length into my arms
into our secrets...
Into evening's charms.
