Every day feels like a struggle
Every day feels like a struggle,
How do I cope and do my best,
When someone I cared for dearly,
Has now passed and laid to rest.
It feels like life is against me,
Some days I feel a mess,
It’s because of psychological trauma,
And many months of built up stress.
Some days I well up with tears,
I feel as if I just want to cry,
I am drained and like a washed out rag,
And just keep on asking, Why?
Bereavement stress is hidden,
And can hit you anytime or anywhere,
There are trained people to help you,
And they do really care.
If you feel as if you’re not coping,
Don’t hide behind a smiling face by yourself,
Face your demons and ask for help,
You will end up with a better mental health.
