Every Day Of Every Year Poem by Rusty Ed Gibson

Every Day Of Every Year

Rating: 0.5

Don’t let it go
Don’t let it slide
Don’t let pride take her from you
It was a promise till you die

You may have been young
You may have been scared
You may not have had all it takes
Those traits are kind of rare

You can take a punch
You can ride a steer
You can rough it up
Playing football each year

You can handle this
She was just a girl
But she was the first one
That you swore to give the world

You cant take it back
You cant undo what is
You can choose to man up
and wipe away her tears

Don’t let her go
Don’t give in to fear
If you do you will miss her
Every Day of Every Year
