Everything Means Something Poem by Phil Soar

Everything Means Something

They say that everything means something
Fate has a part to play
That the way things happen in your life
Will perhaps get in the way
So you need to overcome the times
When you feel out of control
Make the effort to reduce the stress,
And make your feelings whole

If I could referee each day
I'd try to be so fair
And see the best in everyone
Let cautions be so rare
My whistle only be required
To start and end the game
No red cards be given out
Infringements be so tame

In the time it takes to write this
Someone has done some good
And somewhere in the world I hope
No-one would shed their blood
For everything means something
And when fate takes a hand
It's because that's how it's meant to be
And we all should understand
