Everytime I See The Moon Poem by Rokket Grrl

Everytime I See The Moon

Don't you see that bright moon there up in the nights sky
That is the reason why I want to learn to fly
I want to fly up there, and watch the earth from afar
Instead of busy rustle there's silence, and for every person a star
But I've never seen the moon up close, there's always something in my way
Either it's the atmosphere or a cloudy day
And it's so far away, it's not like you're really seeing it
The impression that you'll get from here doesn't really fit
I can't see it the way I want to: by being this far away
I want to be much closer, so I can see every ray
But from this earth, you can't get the same view
Because there's always clouds or mist, to just name a few
And every other time, it's been concealed by rain
Because every time I see the moon, it's through a window pain
