Exode


Attends, mon âme, peu de temps nous reste
avant l'instant béni et glorieux
où vers le calme bleu des voies célestes,
vers les espaces s'ouvriront mes yeux.

Je laisserai ci-bas, parmi les pierres,
mon lourd fardeau, mes chaînes de forçat,
ce corps déchu que réclamait la terre,
et là, mon âme,
je serai à toi.
